Thresholds Homes and Supports’ Crisis Stabilization Beds Program offers voluntary and non-medical short terms stays with 24-hour supportive care for those in crisis. Located at the rear of our property at 298 Lawrence Avenue in Kitchener, the program serves as an alternate to a hospital emergency room for people who are able to keep themselves and others safe.

Individuals or referring partners can complete a telephone screening by calling (519) 579-0751.
Individuals may access Crisis Stabilization Beds for various reasons, including to receive emotional support in times of crisis, as an alternative to a hospital stay, or as a transitional step after a hospital stay.
The Crisis Stabilization Beds Program can provide:
Once an individual completes a telephone screening by calling (519) 579-0751, they can be admitted on the same day.
The average length of stay is approximately five (5) days.

Thresholds Homes and Supports’ Warming Centre at the front of our 298 Lawrence Avenue property in in Kitchener is open to anyone needing a warm place to spend the night. Open daily throughout the winter season from 7 pm to 7am, the centre a calming environment with beds and shower facilities, nutritious meals, and referrals to community supports.
